The Viking Twin Otter Series 400 is a new build (DHC-6-400) twin turboprop based on the legendary aircraft, capable of carriers 19 passengers as a short haul airliner, 3,500+ lbs of payload or to be configured as the ultimate VIP expedition aircraft. The Twin Otter can be configured on amphib floats or tundra tires making it capable of accesses some of the most inhospitable corners of the globe.
The Twin Otter is the preferred passenger aircraft of all aircraft servicing into the infamous Lukla Airport in Nepal situated on the side of cliff at an elevation of 9,334 ft AMSL, the runway is only 1,729 ft long.
The Viking Twin Otter Series 400 has a max range of 775 nm and a max cruise speed of 182 kts with a take-off distance of 1,490 ft carrying a payload of 3,500+ lbs.
